one truly beautiful spot (among many) that we visited in bergen was the house of composer edvard grieg.

from london, i headed to norway. 

i had two days at the museum in bergen and some time to look around the city as well.  my friend and host ib took me to brygge (the old hansa part of the city), and to the aquarium (where they can keep the penguins outside comfortably due to the lovely norwegian climate).  after the pebbles joined us on tuesday, we also went up the fløiban to look over the city, had delicious coffees among the tiny winding residential streets, and a lovely roast lamb dinner at home.  on the following day, we travelled to oslo by train, which was a stunningly beautiful trip up over the mountains and central plateau.
